Lawrence Exchange Club Award
January 31, 2008
The Exchange Club of Lawrence at a reception held at the Lawrence Elks Club on Thursday January 31, 2008 recognized thirteen Andover Fire Rescue members with the Firefighter of the Year Award. The personnel were recognized for their efforts in saving a woman involved in a serious automobile crash that occurred in August 2007.

Welcome to the Andover Fire Rescue Web site.
In partnership with the community, Andover Fire Rescue strives to achieve
the highest degree of Fire and Rescue related services with a continuing
commitment to competency, integrity, enthusiasm, and education while maintaining
a progressive vision for the future.
As Chief, it is my distinct pleasure to represent all of the outstanding men and women who proudly serve the Town of Andover, Massachusetts in Andover Fire Rescue.
Andover Fire Rescue provides many services to the community other than fire suppression. Our organization provides quality Emergency Medical Services, specialized technical rescue services such as trench and confined space, public education and prevention, motor vehicle accident response, response to hazardous materials incidents and many non-fire related services as well.
We provide these services through the dedicated efforts of 70 uniformed and 2 non-uniformed personnel assigned to the Operations and Fire Prevention Divisions.
Andover Fire Rescue responds to over 8200 emergencies and requests for service from 3 fire stations that are located within the 32 square miles that comprise the boundaries of Andover.
Currently, Andover Fire Rescue and members of the community are involved in a Strategic Planning process that will identify goals and objectives the organization will strive to accomplish over the next several years in an effort to meet the future needs of its internal and external customers alike.
With the assistance from the community, this proactive measure will surely define Andover Fire Rescue as one of the elite fire service organizations within the Northeast.
